Thousands of Venezuelans Stage Rally against US Imperialism in Caracas (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Thousands of Venezuelan government supporters took to the streets of Caracas on Monday to protest against US imperialism.
Demonstrators made their way downtown, where they listened to speeches by several leaders of the movement launched by the late Hugo Chavez, Maduro's predecessor and political mentor, Efe reported.
An anti-imperialist march saw thousands flock to the streets of Caracas on Tuesday, to denounce US imperialism in support of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, according to Press TV.
Rally-goers held banners commemorating late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and chanted as they marched down the streets of the capital city.
"US imperialism is essentially the enemy of the people. American imperialism is the historical enemy of those peoples who cry for their freedom, for their independence, for their sovereignty," said Diosdado Cabello, President of the National Constituent Assembly addressing the attendees.
