Syrian Army Forces Attack ISIL in Deir Ez-Zur (+Video)


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Syrian army forces launched a surprise attack against ISIL (also known as Daesh) in the western Deir ez-Zur province this week.

The army, backed by the Russian Air Force, stormed the ISIL (ISIS) positions in the Badiya Al-Sham region near the Homs provincial border.

According to a military report from Deir Ezzur, the Syrian Army managed to seize several points and towns near the T-3 Pumping Station, forcing the terrorist forces to fall back towards the T-2 Station.

A video published by Sputnik news shows a Syrian warplane zapping terrorists’ positions, as the ground forces continue to advance in the Badiya Al-Sham region.
