Tractor Sazi Out of Iran’s Hazfi Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor Sazi of Tabriz football team lost to Sanat Naft Abadan in Iran’s Hazfi Cup Round of 32 on Friday.
Sanat Naft beat its guest Tractor Sazi 7-6 in penalty shootout after two sides drew 3-3 after 120 minutes.
Tractor Sazi was reduced to 10-man in the 98th minute after captain Masoud Shojaei was shown a red card.
Elsewhere, Paykan lost to Pars Jonoubi Jam 6-5 in penalty shootout, Sepahan defeated Shahrdari Mahshahr 3-1, Siraf Kangan edged past Khooneh Be Khooneh 1-0, Mes Kerman defeated Padideh Malekshahi 5-0, Malavan lost to Sepidrood 1-0, and Machine Sazi beat Caspian Babol 2-1.
The Hazfi Cup is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation.
Esteghlal is the title-holder and most decorated team with seven titles.
