Iran’s Petrochimi Advances to FIBA Asia Champions Cup Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Petrochimi of Iran booked a place at the 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup final match on Monday.
The Iranian basketball team defeated Meralco Bolts from the Philippines 79-74 in the competition’s semi-final.
Behnam Yakhchali led the Iranian team with 28 points and eight rebounds.
Petrochimi will play the winner of Alvark Tokyo from Japan and South Korean Seoul SK Knights on Tuesday.
The 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup is the 27th staging of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Asia.
The tournament, which was originally scheduled to be hosted by China, takes place in Nonthaburi, Thailand from 27 September to 2 October 2018.
