Powerlifter Jafari Snatches Gold at Asian Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Amir Jafari claimed a gold medal at the Men's Up to 59kg at the 2018 Asian Para Games on Monday.
Jafari lifted 184kg on his way to gold and his countryman Yousef Yousefi claimed a silver after lifting 175kg.
The bronze medal went to Vietnamese Phuc Nguyen Van with 161kg.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13th.
