Asian Para Games: Iranian Athletes Win Medals at Discus Throw
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hossein Khorsand Amiri claimed a gold medal at the Men's Discus Throw of the 2018 Asian Para Games on Tuesday.
Khorsand Amiri won the gold medal with a throw of 19.69m. He also set an Asian record.
His fellow countrymen Asadollah Azimi and Alireza Mokhtari Hemami claimed silver and bronze medals with 23.74 and 23.42 respectively.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
