Asian Para Games: Iranian Trio Claim Medals at Javelin Throw

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian javelin throwers claimed three medals at the 2018 Asian Para Games on Thursday.

Sports

Mohammad Alvanpour won a gold medal at the Men's Javelin Throw with a throw of 39.22m. He also set an Asian record.

Iran’s Amanollah Papi and Mohammad Khalvandai snatched silver and bronze medals respectively with 48.60m and 48.01m.

About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.

The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
