Siamand Rahman Takes Gold at Asian Para Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The world's strongest Paralympian Siamand Rahman claimed a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Para Games on Friday.

Rahman came first at the Men's Over 107.00 kg with 295kg, bettering Asian record by 3kg.

Rahman’s compatriot Mansour Pourmirzaei won the silver medal with 248kg and Iraqi Faris Al Ageeli claimed the bronze medal after lifting 240kg.

About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.

The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
