Iran’s Shot Putter Kordestani Claims Gold at Asian Para Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Eshrat Kordestan from Iran claimed a gold medal at the Women's Shot Put F56/57 in the 2018 Asian Para Games on Friday.
Kordestani finished in first place with a throw of 9.39m.
Yuxin Tian from China won the silver, throwing 9.09m and Vietnamese Van Truong Bich claimed the bronze with a throw of 7.33m.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
