Persepolis Beats Paykan in Iran Professional League


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Paykan 2-1 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium to stay on course in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Monday.

Paykan striker Shahin Saghebi found the back of the net in the 42nd minute, taking advantage of Persepolis defenders’ mistakes in the area.

Kamal Kamyabinia equalized the match in the 77th minute with a header.

Two minutes later, Ali Alipour scored a goal from a narrow angle.

Persepolis remains in fourth place with 20 points and two games in hands.

Padideh leads the table with 26 points and one game in hands.
