World Taekwondo Grand Prix: Iran’s Sajad Mardani Claims Bronze

TEHRAN (tasnim) – Iran’s Sajad Mardani claimed a bronze medal in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Fujairah, the United Arab Emirates.

The Iranian taekwondoka beat Kazakhstan's Smaiyl Duissebai in the +80kg bronze medal match on Friday.

The gold medal went to Russian Vladislav Larin who won his fourth heavyweight Grand Prix title this year as he defeated Kyo-don In of South Korea.

Iran took part in the competition with four representatives.

Armin Hadipour and Farzan Ashourzadeh in -58kg, Abolfazl Yaghoubi in -68kg and Sajad Mardani in +80kg represented Iran in the event.

The 2018 World Taekwondo Grand Prix was the 6th edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix series.
