Iran Hosting 32nd Int’l Islamic Unity Conference (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 32nd edition of the International Islamic Unity Conference began here in the Iranian capital Saturday with representatives from 100 countries in attendance.
The conference is held annually on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) in an effort to lay the ground for stronger unity and solidarity among Muslims and provide appropriate solutions for their problems.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the international event, being held under the motto of “Quds, the Axis of Unity”.
