Iranian General Attends Pakistan Defense Exhibit
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Deputy Chief of Iran’s Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari attended the opening of the 10th International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2018) of Pakistan in Karachi.
Heading a ranking Iranian military delegation, Rear Admiral Sayyari took part in the opening of the four-day defense exhibition and also held meetings with Pakistani military officials.
According to Iran’s Army, the admiral has travelled to Pakistan as part of Tehran’s efforts to boost defense diplomacy and relations with the friend countries and with the aim of learning about Pakistan’s defense capacities and its aerial, naval and ground equipment put on display in the IDEAS 2018, holding bilateral and multilateral meetings with commanders and military officials from Pakistan and other countries partaking in the event, and learning about the latest developments and modern achievements presented at the exhibition.
The IDEAS 2018, a biennial exhibition, kicked off in Karachi’s Expo Centre on Tuesday.
The event, which will run until November 30, includes more than 260 delegations from 51 countries.
According to media director of Pakistan’s Defense Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), 522 exhibitors from 50 countries have attended the exhibition.
