Iran Beats Tajikistan at CAFA Women's Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Tajikistan 4-1 at the CAFA Women's Championship on Thursday.
The Iranian football team started the competition with a 6-0 win over Afghanistan and lost to Uzbekistan 2-1 in its second match.
Iran will meet Kyrgyzstan at the Milly Stadium in Tashkent on Saturday.
Host Uzbekistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan play together in a round robin format and the team with the highest point will win the title.
The competition is being held under the auspices of the Central Asian Football Confederation in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
