Protesters had gathered in support of the launch of a flotilla titled 'Freedom Ship 18' that set sail from the port of Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli naval blockade of the Strip.
Israeli border forces fired off live rounds, as well as rubber bullets and tear gas canisters as protesters hurled stones.
According to the organizer of the march, Gaza's National Committee for Breaking the Siege, "The naval marches will continue until our goals are achieved."
