Siamand Rahman Decided Not to Go for World Record: Paralympic

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – International Committee Paralympic (IPC)’s website has published an article about the world’s strongest powerlifters who secures slots for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The world’s strongest Paralympian Siamand Rahman decided not to go for the world record this time but still easily won the men’s over 107kg after clearing the bar at 285kg, Paralympic.org reported.

Rahman finished first at the Asia-Oceania Open Powerlifting Championships which took place in Kitakyushu, Japan in September.

The 30-year old Paralympian broke the 300kg barrier in the men´s over 107kg at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, lifting an unprecedented 310kg.
