Syrian Army Inflict Losses on Terrorists during Counter-Attack in Northern Hama, Latakia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Syrian army forces conducted military strikes in retaliatory operations against terrorists who attacked the government forces in the surroundings villages and towns of northern Hama and Latakia province.

SANA news agency reported from Hama that army forces retaliated the attacks by terrorist groups affiliated to the so-called “al-Ezza Brigades” which are positioned in the towns and villages of Ma’arkiba, al-Zakat, al-Latamina and al-Dawrat valley in the northern parts of the province after they tried to infiltrate the positions of government forces in the region.

The report added that army units targeted terrorists’ gatherings with artillery shells, inflicting casualties among the militants and destroying their fortified positions.

The army forces also repelled multiple attacks by terrorist groups near the key town of Kinsibba in Latakia province north of the country.

The army troops returned fire after militants led by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham targeted Syrian army positions north of Kinsibba with several rockets and artillery shells.

According to a military reports from Latakia, the Syrian army was able to thwart the attack following this barrage of missiles and artillery shells, before any damage could be done to their defenses.

In response to this attack by the terrorists, the Syrian army unleashed a barrage of missiles and artillery shells towards Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions.
