Mario Budimir Reaches Agreement with Iran's Persepolis

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Croat forward Mario Budimir has reportedly reached an agreement with Iranian football club Persepolis.

Budimir, 32, will be Persepolis’s fourth Croatian player after Mate Dragicevic, Bozidar Radosevic, and Luka Maric.

Budimir, who most recently played at Dinamo Zagreb, will join Persepolis in Qatar training on Friday to pass a medical examination.

Persepolis, who finished runner-up in the 2018 AFC Champions League, is going to strengthen for new season, where the team is pitted against Qatar’s Al Sadd and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia in Group D.

Persepolis also is a favorite to win the Iran Professional League for the third successive year.
