Iran’s Alireza Beiranvand Difference Maker
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand was Team Melli’s difference maker in the match against Oman.
Iran booked a place in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup quarter-finals after beating Oman 2-0 thanks to his saves.
He saved a penalty early on, before making several superb stops, Fox Sports Asia reported.
Beiranvand proved once again that he is indeed one of the best goalkeepers in Asia, if not the best.
Also, Ashkan Dejagah has been Iran’s unsung hero throughout the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. And he stepped up again when his team needed the most, netting a crucial penalty in the 41st minute.
