114 Foreign Companies Ready to Take Part in Iran’s Oil Projects: Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A member of the Energy Commission of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) said 114 foreign companies have announced their readiness to cooperate with the country in its oil projects.
Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the 15th Kish International Energy Exhibition on the southern island of Kish, Reza Padidar said that so far, 114 small and medium companies from foreign countries have registered with the ICCIMA’s Energy Commission.
“We are considering to use their capacities in the areas of technology transfer and participation in investment projects,” he added.
Padidar further said given an agreement reached in 2017 between Iran and the European Union's energy commission, the ICCIMA plans to invite these companies to visit Iran in April or May to get familiar with the country’s capacities and set the ground for joint development projects.
The 15th Kish International Energy Exhibition opened on Monday with the aim of introducing the latest investment opportunities and achievements of producers of oil, gas, petrochemicals, water and new energies.
According to an official statement of the event’s organizer, representatives of 135 domestic and foreign companies from 12 countries participated in the expo, which concluded Thursday.
Representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Belgium, China, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, South Korea and the United States showcased their latest achievements in the oil, gas, refining, petrochemical, electricity and new energy industries in the exhibition with an area of 18,000 square meters.
