French Yellow Vest Protesters Demonstrate for 13th Consecutive Week (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yellow Vest protesters are marching in the streets for a 13th consecutive weekend on Saturday, with multiple rallies planned throughout France.
The Yellow Vest movement spontaneously emerged in November 2018 after French President Emmanuel Macron announced controversial tax hikes. Over 2,000 people have been arrested since the demonstrations began and dozens of protesters have been injured during violent clashes with police.
This AFP footage shows protesters gathering in Paris in the early hours of what will be their 13th weekend of demonstrations.
