TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Police captured a woman affiliated with the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group at a border crossing with Turkey.

Iran’s Border Police forces at Bazargan Border Crossing arrested the female member of Daesh as she was trying to enter Iran.

The border crossing connects Iran’s northwestern town of Bazargan to Gurbulak in eastern Turkey.

In April 2018, Turkey announced plans to build a 144-km long wall on its eastern border with Iran.

During a visit to Istanbul in December 2017, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called for long-term cooperation with Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
