Yemen Army Kills Tens of Saudi Troops in Jizan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s Air Force and fighters from Popular Committees targeted the positions of Saudi soldiers in the kingdom’s southwestern border region of Jizan, in retaliation for strikes by the Saudi-led military coalition on Yemen.

Yemen’s Air Force along with the Arab country’s Artillery Unit launched a major attack on Saudi soldiers in Jizan province on Friday, killing and injuring scores of them, a military official told Saba.

The official said tens of soldiers were killed and injured during the attack on Satlah military site.

A Zilzal-1 missile was also fired by the army on Saudi-led mercenaries east of Jahfan which resulted in killing and wounding dozens of them, the official added.

The attack was carried out in retaliation for Riyadh’s relentless airstrikes on Yemeni civilians.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than four years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

According to a recent UN report, the combined death toll from the Saudi-led aggression and disease is 233,000, or 0.8 percent of Yemen's 30 million-strong population.
