The 26-year-old is out of contract at Russian Premier League side Akhmat Grozny this summer and his availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of clubs across Europe.
Mohammadi had been previously linked with a move to Scottish giant Celtic, Promotion-chasing Bristol City and Fulham.
The left back also was a target of Russian champion Zenit St Petersburg.
Mohammadi, who has made 28 international caps for Iran, was a member of Team Melli at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
