Iran to Send Four Taekwondo Athletes to Roma Grand Prix

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will send four taekwondo athletes to the 2019 World Taekwondo Grand Prix.

Armin Hadipour (-58kg), Mirhashem Hosseini and Soroush Ahmadi (-68kg) and Sajad Mardani (+80kg) will represent Iran in the prestigious event.

The team will be headed by Fariborz Askari.

The 2019 World Taekwondo Grand Prix will be held at the Foro Italico Complex in Rome from June 7 to 9.

The WTF World Taekwondo Grand Prix is a taekwondo competition introduced by the World Taekwondo Federation in 2013 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic taekwondo tournament. It comprises four competitions per year in each event.
