Azmoun has been linked to Lazio for the past couple of summers and sporting director Igli Tare is clearly a big fan of the Iranian.
The 24-year-old forward has played for Rubin Kazan in the past two summers but is now a player of Zenit St Petersburg.
Azmoun, who signed for Kazan initially in 2013 from Iranian club Sepahan FC on a free transfer, was a member of Team Melli in the 2018 World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
