Team Melli beat host Bulgaria 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-21) in Plovdiv Saturday night.
“We didn’t use our main players against Bulgaria because they were so tired and some of them are injured. The game was really difficult for us but I am happy because all the bench players showed high quality volleyball and strong competitive behavior,” Kolakovic said at the post-match news conference.
“It was a sweet victory. I am sure nobody expected that we could beat Bulgaria here 3-0."
