Patosi had joined Esteghlal from Cape Town City on loan in January but preferred to reunite his former coach Winfried Schaefer who has recently been named as the Emirati football team head coach.
The attacking midfielder spent the second half of the Iranian league in Esteghlal, where he made 13 appearances, scoring four goals.
Esteghlal’s efforts proved fruitless and Patosi will play in the UAE league next season.
