Iran Volleyball Captain Saeid Marouf Hits Out at Critics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national volleyball team captain Saeid Marouf has launched an attack on Team Melli’s critics.

Iran lost to Poland and Brazil and failed to book a place at the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) semifinals last week.

The Iranian team, who was looking for the VNL first medal, had participated in the competition with its main team, while the other teams had fielded their young players.

Many Iranian experts criticized the national team over failing to qualify for the semifinals with its main team.

“We don’t care about what they say. They are nonsense claims in a way we are used to that. They are jealous of what we have accomplished in the high-level competition,” Marouf posted on his Instagram account.
