Iran Beaten by Italy at FIVB U-21 World Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Italy 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 31-29) on Tuesday in Pool F of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-21 World Championship.
Iran had previously defeated Tunisia 3-0 and the Czech Republic 3-0 and lost to Russia 3-2 in the preliminary round.
The Persians also defeated Argentina 3-1 in Pool F.
Iran will play Bahrain on Wednesday.
The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship is being held in Riffa, Bahrain from July 18 to 27.
A total of 16 teams from the 5 confederations compete in the tournament.
