The Iranian team defeated Bahrain 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-18) on Wednesday at the Isa Sport City Hall C in Manama.
Iran will face Brazil in the competition’s semis Thursday night.
“The four best teams are in the semi-finals. Brazil is a strong team and we will meet them in the next match,” Ataei said.
"Our team, Brazil and Russia all lost in the previous rounds and have made it to the semi-finals. Italy has not lost so far. This shows that each team has its own share of weaknesses or maybe accidental mistakes during the competition. We have strong a motivation to come to the finals," he added.
