Maghsoodloo claimed the title with 9.5 points out of 11 rounds.

Baadur Jobava from Georgia and Indian Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa finished in second and third place respectively with nine points.

Maghsoodloo was awarded the title of grandmaster by FIDE in 2016, the same year he was awarded the title of International Master.
