Iran Greco-Roman Team Comes 2nd at World Junior Championships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran Greco-Roman Team became runner-up at the United World Wrestling (UWW) World Junior Wrestling Championships in Tallinn, Estonia on Sunday.

On the final day of the competition, Mohammadreza Mahmoud Rostami from Iran took a bronze medal in the 72kg weight category.

Iran had previously won two gold and two bronze medals in the competition.

Mohammad Aziz Naghousi of Iran defeated Russian Damir Rakhimov 2-1 in a tight match in the 77kg final.

Iran's Aliakbar Hossein Yousofi also won 2-1 against American Cohlton Michael Schultz to claim the 130kg gold.

Iranian representatives Pooya Soulat Dad Marz and Shahin Eidi Badaghi Mofrad had also won two bronze medals in 55kg and 63kg respectively.
