Iran’s Taftian Secures Olympic 2020 Quota Spot
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian sprinter Hassan Taftian secured his place at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Taftian won the gold medal at the men’s 100 meter event at IAAF Diamond League in Paris, clocking 10.03.
Turkish Emre Zafer Barnes finished in second place with a time of 10.19, and Gavin Smellie from Canada crossed the line with 10.25.
Taftian also represented Iran at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
