The Yemeni army launched an attack against the Najran Airport in southern Saudi Arabia using a number of Qassif-K2 unmanned aircraft on Friday, al-Massirah TV reported citing the Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e.

The reported also added that the drones targeted a number of warplanes that were parked in the airport hangers which led to destruction of a number of them a disruption in the airport air traffic.

Sare'e also added that the operation came in response to the continued US-backed Saudi aggression against the people of Yemen.

More reports also suggest that there have been two more offensives against targets in Najran and Jizan provinces using a number of Qasif-2K drones.

Additional reports from Yemeni army forces and Popular Committees battle with Saudi invaders indicated that Yemeni forces, on early Friday, fired a medium-range ballistic missile dubbed Qassim at the Saudi-backed mercenaries’ stronghold north of Hayran in Hajjah province.

Yahya Sare’e said that the ballistic missile left dozens of the Saudi-backed mercenaries dead and wounded, adding that the attack came as a proactive operation to thwart the enemy’s plan as it was preparing to infiltrate towards Army positions in Haradh.
