One Dead, Two Injured in Seattle Subway Station Shooting

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A shooting at a Seattle subway station has left one person dead and two injured, police told The Seattle Times.

Two suspects were being sought early Sunday, officials said.

The gunfire rang out on the northbound tunnel platform of the Link light rail’s Westlake station at 9:20 p.m. local time, The New York Post reported.

A witness told the paper that he saw a gunman in a dark hoodie yell, pull out a weapon and begin firing at victims at close range.

The victim died after medics tried to save him at the scene.

Westlake is the city’s busiest light rail station, the paper noted, with 12,000 boardings each weekday.
