Iran Wins CAFA U-15 Girls Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-15 Girls football team won the title of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) championship on Monday.
The Iranian team defeated host Uzbekistan 3-2 to win the title.
Ghazal Morshedi, Diana Norouzi and Fatemeh Yousefi were on target for Iran.
Iran had already defeated Tajikistan 4-0 and Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in the round-robin tournament.
The competition was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from September 13 to 16.
The CAFA Youth Championship is an international football competition in Central Asia for the member nations of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA).
