Iran’s Gholami Wins Shanghai Chess Open Title

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - At the end of Round 9 of 2019 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Chess International Open, Aryan Gholami claimed the title.

The 18-year-old chess player, who was born in Ghaemshahr and became Iran's youngest FIDE-ranked chess Grandmaster at the age of eight, claimed the title with seven points.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Chess Open is a 9-round Swiss open took place in Xingtai, China.

The time control was 90 minutes for all moves, with a 30-second increment from move 1.
