Farhad Ghaemi Misses Rest of FIVB World Cup

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s outside spiker Farhad Ghaemi will miss the rest of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men's World Cup due to the foot injury.

An MRI scan revealed that Ghaemi is suffering from a torn calf muscle.

Ghaemi will be out of action between four to six weeks, Siamak Afrouzi, Iran's volleyball team doctor, said.

The 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup features 12 national teams from the five continental confederations playing in Nagano, Fukuoka and Hiroshima from October 1 to 15.
