Friendly: Iran U-23, Shahr Khodro Share the Spoils
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-23 football team drew 1-1 with Shahr Khodro in a friendly match in Tehran on Friday.
Younes Delfi gave the U-23 team the lead in the 37th minute and Amir Hossein Moradmand equalized the match in the 83rd minute.
Iran is preparing for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship which will be held in Thailand from January 8 to 26.
Iran has been drawn in Group C along with Uzbekistan, China and South Korea.
The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Japan as the AFC representatives.
