A Legitimate End to Yemen War to Leave Positive Impact on Region: Ayatollah Khamenei
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday highlighted Iran's 4-article plan to resolve Yemeni crisis and said an end to the war on the Arab country will leave positive effects on the region.
Mr. Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and his entourage met with Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran has proposed a four-article plan for finishing the war on Yemen since a long time ago. The end of this war can have positive effects on the region," Ayatollah Khamenei said at the meeting.
As regards relations between the two countries, Imam Khamenei said, Iran sees Pakistan as a neighbouring brother. With this unprecedented opportunity, the relations of the two countries should be better than what they currently are."
"Security of the borders should be enhanced and suspended projects like the gas pipeline should be completed."
The Leader further noted that The Islamic Republic of Iran has never been the initiator of any war, but at the same time added, "If any country begins a war against Iran, it will undoubtedly regret it."
