Iran’s IT Minister in Qatar to Attend QITCOM 2019

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi is in Doha to take part in the Qatar Information Technology Conference & Exhibition (QITCOM) 2019.

Azari Jahromi left Tehran for the Qatari capital on Monday night at the official invitation of Qatari Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti.

Jahromi is also going to partake in the Munich Security Conference Core Group Meeting in Doha.

According to QITCOM official website, it is the largest information and communication technology showcase and event in Qatar which will be underway from October 29 to November 1 under the theme “Safe Smart Cities”.

“Featuring over 90 speakers, 300 technology exhibitors, 100 startups and 300 innovators and entrepreneur, QITCOM 2019 will be a one-stop-shop for participants to showcase disruptive smart technologies and exchange next-generation knowledge,” it said.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is also in Doha to attend the Munich Security Conference Core Group Meeting titled “Avenues towards De-Escalation in the Middle East”.

The Iranian top diplomat is slated to discuss the latest developments in the Persian Gulf region and announce Iran’s stances on the developments.
