Iran into University World Cup - 3x3 Quarters
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Azad University booked a place at the International University Sports Federation (FISU) University World Cup - 3x3 quarter-final on Saturday.
The Iranian team defeated U Chile 14-6 and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Azad University will play Vasyl Stefanyk of Ukraine on Sunday to book a place at the competition’s semis.
The 2019 edition of the University World Cup - 3x3 is being held in Xiamen, China, for a fifth year in a row from October 31 to November 3.
Since the inaugural edition, Huaqio University in Xiamen has hosted the event on their home court.
