Iran’s Idani Wins Bronze at Bavarian Chess Tournament


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian chess player Pouya Idani won a bronze medal at the 23rd Bavarian Championship Open.

The Iranian GM finished the competition with seven points.

Ukraine’s Vitaliy Bernadskiy and Pavel Eljanov came first and second with 7.5 points, respectively.

The 23rd Bavarian Championship Open, a 9-round Swiss tournament, took place from October 26 to November 3 in Gmund am Tegernsee, Germany.

The competition brought a total of 150 chess players from 26 countries together.
