Arya Bazegar opened the scoring for Sirous Pourmousavi’s team with a header in the 52nd minute in Tehran’s Dastgerdi Stadium.

Alireza Monazami extended the lead in the 77th minute and Yasin Salmani made it 3-0 from the penalty spot in the 81st minute.

The UAE defeated Nepal 4-0 in another match.

Iran will also meet Nepal and the UAE on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

The competition is being held in Tehran, Iran from November 6 to 10.
