Junior World Kabaddi Championship: Iran Thrashes Malaysia


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Malaysia 70-29 at the inaugural edition of the Junior World Kabaddi Championship on Wednesday.

Iran had defeated Thailand 90-16 and Turkmenistan 90-46 in its two previous matches.

The Persians will meet Chinese Taipei on Thursday in the competition’s quarterfinals.

The competition is being held on Kish Island, Iran from November 9 to 15.

The World Cup aims at providing a platform for young and talented players from the grassroots level to enhance their interest in representing their national side in future tournaments.
