Iran had defeated Thailand 90-16, Turkmenistan 90-46, Malaysia 70-29, Chinese Taipei 53-31 and Bangladesh 52-20 in its previous matches.

Pakistan and Bangladesh won the bronze medal.

The competition was held on Kish Island, Iran from November 9 to 15.

The world championship aims at providing a platform for young and talented players from the grassroots level to enhance their interest in representing their national side in future tournaments.
