Iraq Held by Bahrain at World Cup Qualifier
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iraq and Bahrain football teams played out a goalless draw on Matchday Six of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and 2023 AFC Asian Cup China Asian Qualifiers on Tuesday.
The result kept Iraq at the top of the table on 11 points, two ahead of Bahrain with Iran third on six points in the race for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Iraq will travel to Hong Kong on March 31 next year, while Bahrain host Cambodia to Manama five days earlier.
Earlier in the day, Hong Kong defeated Cambodia 2-0 at the Hong Kong Stadium thanks to goals from Gee Ha James Stephen and Roberto Orlando Affonso Junior
The result means that Cambodia is now rock-bottom of Group C with just a single point from five matches.
