According to the Seismological Center of the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the temblor struck an area near Izeh, Khuzestan, at 8:50 PM (local time) on Friday.
The epicenter, with a depth of 20km, was determined to be at 32.3 degrees of north latitude and 49.85 degrees of east longitude.
There have been no reports of casualties yet, according to the director-general of Khuzestan Province’s Crisis Management Department.
