Sepahan, Esteghlal Share The Spoils: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan and Esteghlal football teams drew 2-2 in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Giorgi Gvelesiani gave the host a lead in Isfahan’s Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium in the 13th minute.
Mehdi Ghaedi levelled the match in the 57th minute and Cheick Diabate extended Esteghlal’s lead with a header in the 79th minute.
Sepahan midfielder Omid Noorafkan equalized the match in the dying moments of the match.
In Mashhad, IPL leader Shahr Khodro lost to Sanant Naft 1-0. Issa Alekasir scored for the visiting team in the 27th minute.
Sepahan moves top of the table with 23 points on goal difference over Shahr Khodro.
Esteghlal is third with 22 points.
